Please refer to the material below for specifics on our refund timeframes and policies. Note that our rules differ for subscription payments and one-time payments for courses, specialties, and guided project purchases, and that payment options may vary by product. Keep in mind that we take violations of our Terms of Service and Honor Code very seriously, and we are under no obligation to issue refunds to users who violate these or other France Micro-Credential regulations, even if their refund claims are submitted within the refund period. Likewise, we are under no obligation to provide refunds to users who fail a Content Offering or are dissatisfied with their final grade. France Micro-Credential does not accept refunds for month-to-month membership purchases. To avoid being charged during a promotional free trial period, you must cancel your subscription before the trial expires. France Micro-Credential reserves the right to require you to pay for a one-month membership if you complete a course and/or earn a specialization certificate during the free trial period. Your membership will continue on a month-to-month basis until you cancel or unless France Micro-Credential suspends or discontinues the service. For subscriptions to individual specializations, France Micro-Credential will automatically terminate your subscription at the end of the month in which you earn a specialization certificate, unless you subscribed through a third-party marketplace, such as the Apple App Store, which may restrict our ability to terminate. Please refer to the third-party marketplace for specific policies. To avoid further charges, you must cancel your membership before the monthly renewal date. If you cancel your membership, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; you will retain access to your subscription until the end of the cycle, but no refunds will be provided.

Submit a refund request through the Learner Help Center within 14 days of your payment to receive a full refund of your France Micro-Credential Plus subscription fee. After this 14-day period, refund requests will not be honored. Some France Micro-Credential Plus subscriptions may offer a free trial period instead of a refund period. If you do not cancel during the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription and will not be eligible for a refund. Your France Micro-Credential Plus membership will continue for the subscription period you selected at the time of purchase and will automatically renew until you cancel your subscription or France Micro-Credential suspends or discontinues it. If you cancel your membership after the refund period, you will retain access until the end of the subscription period and will not be charged for the next billing cycle.

France Micro-Credential will provide a full refund if you cancel your paid enrollment in a standalone course within 14 days of payment or before you have received your course certificate, whichever comes first. If you pre-enroll and pay for a course, you are eligible for a full refund until 14 days after the course begins or before you have received the course certificate, whichever comes first. Once you receive a course certificate in exchange for payment, you are no longer eligible for a refund, even if it is within the 14-day period. If you do not complete the course within 180 days, your registration will expire, and you will need to pay to re-enroll. However, if you are taking a course through your company, organization, or a France Micro-Credential-sponsored program (such as France Micro-Credential for Business, France Micro-Credential for Governments or Organizations, France Micro-Credential for Refugees, or other Social Good programs), you can earn your certificate as long as your company's contract with France Micro-Credential is active, and your access has not expired according to the terms of that contract, or France Micro-Credential is still running the sponsored program. Refunds and cancellations in such cases are governed by the agreement between your organization and France Micro-Credential. France Micro-Credential will also provide a full refund if you cancel your one-time, paid enrollment in a specialization within 14 days of payment or before you obtain a course certificate for any course in the specialization, whichever comes first. If you pre-enroll and pay for the specialization, you are eligible for a refund until 14 days after the first course in the specialization begins or before you obtain the first course certificate for any course in the specialization, whichever comes first. Once you receive your first course certificate for any course in the specialization, you are no longer eligible for a refund. Unless otherwise specified during registration, you have one year to complete the specialization after purchasing it. Certain courses and specializations may have shorter refund periods (e.g., for some programs, you may only be eligible for a full refund within seven days of your payment date). These shorter terms will be specified during the registration process for the course or specialization.

France Micro-Credential does not accept refunds for guided project payments. If you do not obtain your completion certificate within 180 days after registering for a guided project, your registration will expire, and you will need to pay to re-enroll to finish the project and receive your completion certificate. If you are taking the guided project through your company, organization, or a France Micro-Credential-sponsored program (e.g., France Micro-Credential for Business, France Micro-Credential for Governments or Organizations, France Micro-Credential for Campus, France Micro-Credential for Refugees, or other Social Good programs), you can earn your certificate as long as your company's contract with France Micro-Credential is active and your access or invitation has not expired or been terminated according to the terms of that contract. Refunds and cancellations in such cases are governed by the agreement between your organization and France Micro-Credential. If you subscribed through a third-party marketplace that restricts our ability to offer refunds (e.g., in-app purchases via the Apple App Store), please contact the third-party marketplace for their refund policy details.

The Content Provider offering the Degree or University Certificate program is responsible for establishing and administering its own refund policy. These Content Providers communicate their refund procedures directly to students.

France Micro-Credential is under no obligation to provide refunds or vouchers for any other Services, except as outlined in this Refund Policy or as expressly indicated during the sign-up process for a Service.

In addition to the refund procedures mentioned above, if you have a right of withdrawal under the laws of your country, including applicable European Union regulations, the following applies: You have a 14-day period to exercise your right of withdrawal. You may terminate your agreement with France Micro-Credential for the Services without providing a reason and without incurring any additional costs, other than those specified in this section. The withdrawal period ends 14 days from the date the contract was completed. However, you do not have a right of withdrawal if: a) The Services have already been fully performed with your prior express consent, and you have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Services have been completed, or b) The Services have begun with your prior express consent, and you have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal upon starting to use the Services. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by making a clear declaration (e.g., a letter sent by mail or an email). You may use the sample form provided below, though it is not required.

You will have exercised your right to withdraw within the 14-day withdrawal period if you send the message before the deadline. Upon exercising the right of withdrawal, both parties are released from their contractual obligations. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, any supplementary contracts will automatically terminate.

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are notified of your decision to withdraw from the contract in accordance with this provision. Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be processed using the same payment method you used for the initial transaction, and you will not incur any fees as a result of the refund. If you wish for the Services to begin during the 14-day withdrawal period, you must make a specific request and acknowledge that you will lose your right to withdraw once the Services have been fully performed. If you exercise your right of withdrawal before the completion of the Services, you will be responsible for reasonable costs proportional to the portion of the Services delivered up to the time you notified us of your withdrawal. You must provide proof that you are exercising your right of withdrawal in accordance with this article. Except as otherwise stated in this article, you will incur no further obligations as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal.
